Pleasanton Science Circle
Did you know that the United States only recycles about 32% of all its waste?

The current state of recycling
A huge part of what we throw into recycling is plastics. Plastics harm the environment in many ways, and less than 9% of them are actually able to be recycled.
With a growing population, it is important to keep tabs on the waste we produce and how it is being managed as this can greatly harm the environment and public health.
Let's try avoiding products that can't be recycled or very difficult to recycle. Also, try reusing some of these products so that we don't need to buy new products as frequently. Although this may be difficult, we should all do the best we can.

Science for Local Students
At Pleasanton Science Circle, we are committed to bringing science to everybody. We aim to make science fun and interactive, while learning essential concepts as well.
What We Do
Weekly twice, we hold a class where we teach middle school kids concepts in science that they likely won't be exposed to get them interested in science. Our classes are based in Pleasanton, CA and will be held on Zoom for the time being. Our initiative is to provide the opportunity for middle schoolers to look beyond what they are currently learning in schools and to develop a passion for science. The lessons will be interactive, and we strive to ensure that every student has a fun and enjoyable experience at PSC classes, while also covering important concepts.
